letter to self

Have you ever wished you could go back in time and let your younger self off the hook and tell her or him what you know now?

We've probably all said or thought at one time, "If I only knew then what I know now!"

Mine would go a little something like: It will all be okay...... I promise.

Your life will be different, but even better than you ever imagined

Listen to your gut and let it be your guide. When it doesn't feel right, it's not. Move on

Follow Your Heart and Always Be True To Yourself and What YOU Believe

Know you are more than enough, Always

Your parents really do know what they're talking about. Love and Trust them more.

Don't worry that you didn't peak in high school. One day you'll look back and be grateful.

Stop comparing yourself to others and love yourself, your body, your family and your life, just as is.

You deserve so much more and are worth more than you realize. You will make mistakes, lots of them. Learn from them and go on, for the lesson is repeated until it's learned.

It's never as bad as it feels at the time. This too shall pass.

Don't take anything personally, even when it feels personal, for it's always about the other person's issue or struggle.

Learn to let your guard down and be vulnerable. It's actually a sign of strength.

Be careful when judging other's and instead seek to understand that everyone has a story, for you will one day find yourself walking a similar path. Forgive yourself...........then remember when we know better, we do better, and always do better moving forward.

Love unconditionally - your family and your friends.

Choose Love vs. Fear (of failing)

Embrace The Process in All of Life & Enjoy The Journey!

It's never too late for what really matters - Go for it! Let Go of your Fear of Rejection for things aren't always as they seem. Sometimes God takes people out of our lives to protect us.

Know you are destined for great things and everything you do matters.

Forgive others, for when you do, you take back your power.

Leading to what may be the biggest lesson of all - "My Dear, You've Always Had The Power". Your Internal Power is more important than your (or anyone else's) external power.

So, The real question is, now that "we know", what are we doing with all of the things we now know?

For this week's Wellness Bite, I encourage you to write a Love Letter to your younger self.  I reference "love letter" because we must love who we were then and now and in order to heal it, we must feel it.

Don't hold back, it's just between you and your younger self. If you had the chance, what would you say? Then, after you write your love letter, ask yourself what you're doing today with all of that wisdom, experience, growth, and lessons learned. What's still holding you back from living your best life? Are you practicing living today how you'd do then if you only you knew better?

If not, start this week and choose to live and BE each day as if you knew better (because you do) and you already got the lesson. Remember you're not that little girl or boy who didn't know..........even if you're still figuring it out, believe in the person you are today and remember my dear, you've always had the power! One Bite At A Time
