MAY YOU......
"May you be happy. May you be healthy. May you feel safe. May you life your life with ease."
- excerpt from the Compassion Loving Kindness Meditation

Welcome May 2017! May is my favorite month of the year. Why? Because it brings May flowers, is a pre-launch to summer and warmer, brighter days, an end to the school year, beginning of summer getaways and lazy pool days, outdoor walks and patio dining, the month of the Indy 500, Mother's Day and my birthday. So for me, May has always been a season of reflection, growth, adventure and a time to step things up a bit.

Two years ago I launched my "May Step It Up Challenge." A lot has changed since then and as I continue to grow and transform along my journey, my challenge this year is a bit lighter, slower, less physical and more mental, emotional and spiritually challenging, but no less effective in stepping up your overall health and fitness. In fact, I believe it could be more effective and sustainable.

With each Weekly Wellness Bite, we continue to practice how to live more healthfully, more at peace, more mindfully, joyfully and more inspired. So I'm excited to invite you to join in as part of the One Bite At A Time Tribe for the
"One Bite At A Time May Meditation & Mindfulness Challenge." I jotted these ideas down while mindfully unplugging and journaling to inspire new ideas and reconnect to myself while relaxing in a cabana in Cancun a few weeks ago while on Spring Break.

Tah-Dah - the May Challenge was born!
I'll send tips and techniques to practice for each of day in the upcoming May Weekly Wellness Bites.

The picture shown above is my indoor mediation space. Find what inspires you and your meditation and mindfulness practice by dedicating a space inside your home or perhaps outdoors on your deck or by a tree.
Then start with the first day of each week remembering:

"Each day we are born again. What we do today matters most." - Buddha

May Meditation & Mindfulness Challenge - Begin  where you are, just as you are!
Mindful Monday
- start your day with setting an intention for the day & week and mindfully check in throughout the day

Two Minute Meditation Tuesday - practice a 2 minute meditation (try one of these)

Wind Down Wednesday
- slow down and practice being more present, in the moment without judgement mid week

Thoughtful Thursday - practice being more thoughtful (grateful) and present (unplug!) with others and  with yourself

Free To Be Me Friday - Let go and be free from your self-imposed pressures. Reflect back to Monday's intention, remember who you want to be & free yourself to practice being your true self

Seeking Saturday - seek more of what inspires you, lights you up and brings you joy!

Spiritual Sunday - reconnect with your inner self whether through journaling, getting outdoors with nature, prayer, meditation, Yoga, unplugging or reading and notice how it makes you feel!

Research and studies continue to show that people who meditate and practice mindful living are happier, healthier, more grateful, less stressed, emotionally intelligent, forgiving, lead more fulfilling lives and relationships and are less likely to be depressed, anxious, unhealthy, in-debt, lonely or unfulfilled.

Through practicing this May Meditation & Mindfulness Challenge,
may you be happy, may you be healthy, may you feel safe may you live your life with ease.

One Meditation, One Mindfulness Practice,  One Deep Breath, One Day and "One Bite At A Time."

With Love and Light, Susan
