Crossfit Handstand F

As we segue from the April "30-Day Spring Cleaning Challenge" into May, INSPIRED BY FITNESS has declared May "STEP IT UP!" Month! As I have begun to challenge my clients with a May STEP IT UP! Challenge Goal Card, I encourage them, and everyone, to take a moment to pause.......and  think about WHY you want to be fit and healthy and identify:

I Am Going To Step It Up by Doing or Adding:

I Am Going To Step AWAY From:

Stepping Up and Into -  could be anything from Adding your 3x30 (3 times a week of 30 min. exercise) each week, daily stretching, doing planks and air squats each morning, adding more vegetables and cleaner eating to your diet, taking your Omega-3 Fish Oil and vitamins each morning or signing up for your first fitness event or trying a new fitness class such as CrossFit or Yoga. Or achieving performing Pull-Ups without the resistance band - this would be my goal for May!

Stepping Away From - could be something like stepping away from sugar, soda or unhealthy relationships/friendships, or stepping out of the office at a decent hour to be with your family, stepping away from the computer or your phone to BE PRESENT with your loved ones.

May is a significant month for many reasons around here, but for many it's the month that launches us into Summer and the desire to get into shape. So ask yourself WHY do you really want to get into shape, more fit and healthy and WHAT is holding you back? Usually when we're really honest with ourselves, it's not the typical excuse of that we're just "too busy", but that it is actually hard to get back into a routine of exercise and eating healthy! Someone once said that "getting back  into or starting a regular exercise routine is hard, but it's harder to stop once you get into it and start FEELING the difference".

As I continue to experience the grief healing effects of exercise and gaining emotional and mental strength through physical strength and exercise, I can attest to the overall health and life benefits of pushing yourself to your limits, to not giving up, and forcing yourself to move and get stronger when your head is telling you that you are too tired or may not feel up to it. Working out and pushing my body physically has saved my life these past 6 months.............I didn't think I could do this life without my husband, but I feel him pushing me every day, just as he did when he was here.

Remember, You Are Worth It, so to again quote my husband Trent, "SUCK IT UP!" AND REMEMBER, "NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD

AS BEING FIT FEELS"

"One Bite At A Time", One Workout At A Time, One Day At A Time - STEP IT UP!!
