Cherry Chocolate Almond Protein Shake

In honor of my Birthday Month of May, I have chosen on of my very favorite creations that is sure to satisfy that sweet tooth - The Chocolate Cherry Almond Smoothie, May Smoothie of the Month!

1 Scoop Chocolate Protein Powder

1 Cup Almond (or Chocolate Almond Milk for an even Richer Taste!) Milk

1 Spoonful Almond Butter (or Peanut Butter)

1 Cup or Handful of Frozen or Fresh Dark Pitted Cherries (I use frozen to replace ice)

1 Spoonful Ground Flax (or Chia) Seeds

Blend until smooth and enjoy! Great post-workout protein shake as well as breakfast, snack or even as a dessert option!

Benefits: Protein, Fiber, Healthy Fats, "Good" Carbs from Cherries, Good source of Vitamins E and B12 and  Calcium (from Almond Milk) and thoroughly satisfies that sweet tooth or chocolate craving.
