Homemade Dark Chocolate Strawberries


Dozen Fresh (or use more or less), Ripe Strawberries

*2-3 (or use more if want more fruit to dip) 70-85% Dark Cocoa Bars

1 TSP 100% Natural Vanilla Extract

Optional Crushed Nuts

Option to use any desired fruit - pineapple, berries, apples, bananas

Heat Chocolate bars in pan over medium until melted, stirring throughout. Once melted, add Vanilla and continue stirring. *May substitute Dark Cocoa Bars for Dark Chocolate Chips if okay with dairy and added sugar (Nestle or Ghirardelli Chocolate Chip Morsels)

Holding stem side or using tooth pick, dip strawberries into melted chocolate and lay Strawberries on wax paper, stem side down. If rolling into crushed nuts, roll dipped chocolate strawberries over crushed nuts. Once coating hardens, place in refrigerator until ready to serve.
