Quinoa Ingredients

Quinoa (pronounced keen-wa) is a wheat-free, gluten-free grain. Quinoa is a delicious alternative to starchy carbs such as rice, potatoes and spaghetti noodles and because it is wheat and gluten free, it doesn't make you feel bloated and is easier to digest.

There are many ways to add Quinoa to your meals and regular diet such as a side dish on it's own, with added vegetables for a pilaf, sprinkled with salads for extra flavor and texture and in shakes or smoothies.

Ideally, pair Quinoa with vegetables, a lean protein and healthy fat such as chicken or shrimp and avocado as shown in my Quinoa & Shrimp Recipe or chicken & broccoli quinoa or my delicious Raspberry Quinoa Salad.
