Cut Up Veggies and Fruits for Week's Menu

Healthy Habit #6 From My Step Up To A Clean & Lean in 2015 Plan is to Eat A Vegetable at Lunch AND Dinner (The Brighter The Color, The Better - Greens & Reds!)

Practice trying veggies that are dark green, red or orange (brightly colored) as they are packed with vitamins and antioxidants. Examples would be:

Dark Green - Spinach, Kale & Dark Green Lettuce, Broccoli, Zuccini

Red - Red Peppers, Beets, Tomatoes, Radishes, Red Cabbage

Orange - Orange Peppers, Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Squash, Pumpkin

When Coaching my clients, I recommend starting with picking 2-3 of your favorite veggies or ones that you are willing to try and incorporate them into your daily meals for 1 week.

Another option is to blend them in a delicious smoothie and drink your veggies (See My Shakes & Smoothies Recipes Link)

Studies continue to show that people who regularly consume the daily recommended amount of veggies are healthier and leaner. So, start practicing as recommended above and take it One Bite At A Time, One Veggie At A Time & One Day At A Time!
